Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes (russet or Yukon gold)
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized fries, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for about 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch for crispier fries.
  4. After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  5. Transfer the dried potatoes to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes and toss them until evenly coated.
  7. Spread the potatoes out in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they're not overcrowded.
  8. Sprinkle salt over the potatoes according to your preference.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your homemade French fries!

These fries are incredible! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Just like my favorite restaurant's!
